I’m not a ‘bot’ that’s going to sit there, nodding along, and endlessly asking, ‘How do you feel about that?’

Okay, let’s be honest—I probably will ask you that at least once…

My approach is collaborative and client-centered, led by the goals you have and the insights you bring.

I won’t pretend to be an expert who has ALL the “RIGHT” answers because I don’t believe that “one right way” exists.

I will happily share my knowledge, though, gained from lived experience and professional training to support you so you can better understand yourself and find values-aligned, sustainable ways to live your life.

About Me - The Professional

I specialize in supporting ADHDers, PDAers, and Autistic folx, including twice-exceptional individuals identified or suspected to be gifted.  I help clients understand their neurotypes, advocate for their needs, and access appropriate supports. I can help with navigating things like energy regulation, school struggles, executive function, and navigating family dynamics, including competing sensory needs at home.

After working in a variety of settings in larger systems and then insurance-based outpatient mental health, I founded Healing Hart Wellness in 2018 to provide therapy outside of traditional bureaucratic barriers, allowing for individualized services—often with the support of my therapy dog, Franklin. We’ve offered family therapy, led social groups, and provided consultation to educational systems in support of clients.

About Me - The Person

Outside of being a mental health professional, I have many roles, including wife, stepparent, and fur mom to two dogs and two cats.

I’m a serial project starter with an insatiable curiosity, so I’m often on several side quests at a time, both professionally and personally. Staying busy and off screens helps my brain work better, and I try to balance this by being outside with my dogs, hiking, or playing in the yard. Slowing down with writing, yoga, or meditation also helps me find calm amidst the busyness.

If you want to get me distracted (don’t worry, I’ll get us back on track quickly) just talk with me about your special interests or some of mine: animals, space exploration, music, cozy and collaborative games, advancing tech, and understanding the human experience.
